Walk up and down the Rue Cler…it’s a pedestrian zone with great little shops….you can by wine, cheese, fruit…or just window shop. As for food, try to get away from the tourist traps around the major sites, and go to the little cafes and bistros where Parisiens eat. You’ll have fantastic food at a much cheaper price. Take a night cruise on the river and see the Eifel tower twinkle on the hour. Eat a loaf of bread from Poulaine – the finest bread shop in Paris. Don’t forget the Eiffel Tower- but get there early as the queses can keep you waiting for hours. Or get there in the early evening, while others are going home you can watch the sun go down on Paris – the views are fab.
